Two people charged with 1st-degree involuntary manslaughter after drug overdose
CAMDENTON, Mo. (KMIZ)
Camden County Sheriff s Department has arrested two people after the department began an investigation after a 49-year-old woman died Tuesday.
According to the probable cause statement, the woman returned home Tuesday after meeting with Derek Beck. The woman was allegedly on drugs and was put into bed before her death.
According to deputies, they found marijuana, Gabapentin and a yellow-colored liquid in a clear container (Benzo).
During the investigation, deputies contacted Beck at the home of Morgan Walters in Camdenton. Deputies wrote that Beck was lethargic, didn t know what day it was and appeared confused. Beck was then transported to Lake Regional Hospital for care.
