MONUMENT — Parents and relatives descended on the Monument School gym for a series of Christmas songs by students of Monument schools of every age on Wednesday, Dec. 13.
36 students in total performed for the crowd, singing traditional Christmas songs like “Jingle Bells” and “Let it Snow” before a grand finale of “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.” Monument High School students treated the crowd to a rendition of “White Winter Hymn,” a song Monument Superintendent Laura Thomas hadn’t heard before but said was appropriate for the season.
“It was really neat,” she said. “It highlighted each it highlighted where each student wanted to be in music or what they were also comfortable performing and doing.”
