Some voting laws working their way through the Georgia legislature could make it harder for local officials to cut down on long lines at the polls, according to an analysis from the Center For Public Integrity and Georgia Public Broadcasting News. Stephanie Lopez-Burgos stood in line about 35 minutes when she went to vote early in Georgia’s Senate runoff election and felt lucky it wasn’t longer. She saw social media posts from many Hall County residents who waited more than an hour some of whom had to leave without voting.
Income of all persons living in the household
• Must currently reside in Cobb County
• Must be a single parent household or elderly (65 plus)
• Must have consistent income
• Must be a US Citizen or have permanent residency
• Must have birth certificate and social security cards for all members of the household, any household member over 18 must have a valid photo id
• Cannot be receiving any other government/state housing subsidy or voucher
• Cannot have a drug charge or conviction of making/selling/possession of methamphetamines
• Can demonstrate a need for temporary rental assistance
• Will be stably housed once the program ends
