She confirmed that the department had proposed this reopening to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, and received a nod. Gaikwad said, “In our continuation plan to reopen schools in aphase-wise manner, the final decision for the next phase has been taken on Friday to reopen schools for classes V to VIII from January 27 onwards, after approval from the CM.”

29 Bhubaneswar: Beating the Covid-19 crisis in different sectors of economy, Odisha has maintained upward trend in revenue generation because of Government’s dynamic financial management strategies. By November end of the current year, the total revenue collection has grown by 4% over the corresponding period of last financial year. This was known from all Secretaries meeting held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy in Convention center of Lokseba Bhawan today. Reviewing fiscal performances of various departments up to November-2020 presented by Principal Secretary Finance Sri Ashok Kumar Meena, Chief Secretary Sri Tripathy directed the departments to focus on faster implementation of the projects by utilizing the budgeted money without parking the funds anywhere. He also directed the departments to ensure expeditious execution of the infrastructure laying and livelihood generating projects.

Nandankanan Zoo s Foundation Day: Cubs Of White Tigress Sneha Named Lav & Kush

58 Barang: As Nandankanan Zoological Park celebrated its 61st foundation day today, the two cubs of white tigress Sneha have been named as Lav and Kush. Environment minister Bikram Keshari Arukha inagurated the tiger safari bus stand and exit gate at the zoo. Veteran Congress leader and Jatni MLA Suresh Kumar Routray (known as Sura Routray) and Additional Chief Secretary Dr Mona Sharma also attended the event. As per officials, Sneha mated with normal coloured tiger Saif and gave birth to the cubs. Tiger Saif was brought from Hyderabad zoo under the animal exchange programme for bloodline change. The zoo has the distinction of becoming the first zoo in the world where white tiger and melanistic tiger born in captivity.
