There’s one key word in Gov. Jim Justice’s recent decision to allow bars and restaurants to resume 100 percent capacity. It’s the word allow.
Unlike when Justice last year shut down bars and restaurants to in-person clientele, the governor in this case did not mandate that bars and restaurants return to full capacity; instead, he gave owners of those businesses the option to decide what is best for them and their employees. A case in point came with a story we did last week on the lifted capacity restrictions.
Generations Restaurant and Pub owner Mike Duplaga was ecstatic to be at full capacity; Later Gator’s Mitchell Haddad remained cautious with how that establishment will allow patrons.
