From its inception in 1899, the Flathead Lake Biological Station was known as the “Sentinel,” or guardian, of the lake. For researchers working in the facility today, that sentiment still holds true.
According to Wild Montana, the BCSA bill will add nearly 80,000 acres to the Bob Marshall, Scapegoat, and Mission Mountains wildernesses plus recreation areas for snowmobiling and mountain biking.
