Study on violence experienced by healthcare workers launched Islamabad December 20, 2020 Islamabad : Over 41 per cent of healthcare workers in three cities of Pakistan faced some form of verbal and physical violence while battling the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a new study conducted by Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA) Institute of Public Health (Jinnah Sindh Medical University, Karachi), University of Lahore and Khyber Medical University with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). The study shared with the media surveyed 356 health-care workers, including, doctors, paramedics and laboratory technicians, from 24 health-care facilities in Lahore, Karachi, and Peshawar.

The startling revelations were made in a new study conducted by APPNA Institute of Public Health (Jinnah Sindh Medical University, Karachi), University of Lahore, and Khyber Medical University with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), which was launched here on Saturday.
