Which is why Emergency Responders get busy the time you spend outside. When you do go out, let someone know where you are going and when you expect to return. Cover any exposed skin. Including your fingers, nose and ears. Frostbite can occur within minutes. When traveling, make sure you vehicle has blankets, extra clothes and highenergy foods. Be sure to keep you tank at least half full. Full. At least half full. The Milwaukee Rescue Mission sees an increase in people showing up during the cold. Interestingly, she credits social media with rallying the troops who found her son.
