Wilton, Mont Vernon and Milford continue to make little progress towards a compromise on the running of their shared dispatch system, as the towns enter the eighth year under an outdated agreement.
The three towns cooperatively own and manage the Milford Area Communication Center, a dispatch service for all three towns for police, fire and highway. Lyndeborough is also a customer of the service, but does not have voting rights on the management board.
Since 2013, the three towns have not updated the inter-municipal agreement that outlines how the dispatch is managed, despite multiple attempts. The contract has been extended, unchanged, since that time, most recently in December of 2020 for two more years.
