Mattoon, IL, USA / MyRadioLink.com May 11, 2021 | 11:28 AM Midwest America Federal Credit Union Partnering with Land of Lincoln Credit Union to Assume Ownership of Mattoon MWAFCU Branch Decatur, Illinois, May 11th, 2021– MidWest America Federal Credit Union (MWAFCU) has agreed to a partnership with Land of Lincoln Credit Union (LLCU) that will give LLCU ownership of MWAFCU’s Mattoon, Illinois branch located at 500 Lake Land Boulevard. Under this agreement, LLCU will take over branch operations at the Lake Land Boulevard location effective August 2nd, 2021. LLCU will retain all current MWAFCU staff and provide membership opportunity for MWAFCU’s nearly 3,000 Mattoon, IL members.

Partnership provides $8,000 to local schools

ANGOLA — MidWest America Federal Credit Union presented checks totaling more than $8,000 to schools in Steuben County as part of an ongoing Affinity Visa® debit card program. The partnerships with the schools, and other organizations, allow supporters to select a debit card to benefit the organization of their choice. Every time the debit card is used, the organization earns proceeds to help fund programs. The more cards that are in use, the larger the contribution. Tammy Zarate, MidWest America’s Angola branch manager, presented proceeds totaling $4,179 to Steve Lantz, assistant principal/athletic director, of Angola High School. A second presentation was made to Fremont Community Schools in the amount of $4,054 to Roger Probst, athletic director of Fremont High School.

Bluffton getting MidWest branch LISA GREEN | The Journal Gazette MidWest America Federal Credit Union will continue its northeast Indiana investment with a groundbreaking ceremony today for a $1.6 million Bluffton branch. The credit union has invested nearly $10 million in four new branches and facility upgrades in the past 18 months, Laurie Black, a marketing and communications vice president, said through an email response. Michael Kinder & Sons and MidWest America developed a partnership about eight years ago as the credit union was exploring expansion opportunities and its renovation wish list. The Bluffton branch will be one of more than 14 separate projects the two have worked on together, a news release said. Half of those projects have been in the past 12 months.
