Man suffers life-threatening injuries in Middleborough hotel stabbing

A man has life-threatening injuries after being stabbed at a hotel in Middleborough Wednesday, police said. Middleborough first responders got to the stabbing at 8:55 a.m. Wednesday morning, Middleborough Police Chief Joseph Perkins said in a statement. The stabbing occurred at a Quality Inn at 30 East Clark St., police said. The man was found by hotel employees having difficulty breathing after being stabbed in the chest, police said. The man was transported to a Brockton Hospital by Middleborough Fire, police said. No further information is available, police said. No arrests have been reported. Ryan True, the son of Renee and David True, was arrested around noon Thursday and charged with two counts of murder in connection with his parents’ deaths, according to a statement from Plymouth District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz’s office. The couple’s bodies were discovered by police around 6:30 a.m. Officers were called to the home at 3 Highland St. to perform a wellbeing check on one of the victims after their colleague reported they never showed up to work, Middleborough Police Chief Joseph Perkins said at a press conference Thursday afternoon.

December 10, 2020 Two people were found dead at a home in Middleborough, and a 21-year-old man who lived there is being charged with their murders. Police were called to 3 Highland St. around 6:30 a.m. Thursday morning to conduct a well-being check. The coworker of one of the victims had requested it after they didn’t show up to work, according to Middleborough Police Chief Joseph Perkins during a press conference Thursday afternoon. After observing the scene, police decided to force entry into the home. Inside, they found a man and a woman dead. Their names have not been publicly released as police work to verify their identities and notify their family members, Perkins said. He expects to release their identities later on Thursday.
