WORK to reopen a notorious Wester Ross road blocked by snow is continuing this morning amid a better outlook for a number of drift-hit routes across the county.
Highland Council said work is ongoing to clear the Bealach, which leads to Applecross, this morning with an aim of reopening as soon as possible .

HIGHLANDERS were waking up to frigid temperatures this morning after the region recorded its coldest night of the winter so far â and the mercury could drop even further tonight.
Official Met Office weather stations recorded a low of -15.6C at Altnaharra in Sutherland last night.
