Hello there. heatwave conditions across the globe have been dominating weather headlines in recent weeks. and this week, we saw a return to heat across iberia. and wednesday afternoon in southern spain, we saw a high of 44 degrees, 111 fahrenheit. we are tapping into some of that warmth across the uk not as extreme. it was a pleasant day on wednesday. thursday, it will be warmer still, with temperatures perhaps peaking at 27, possibly 28 degrees. that s 82 fahrenheit. but widespread warmth is expected generally across the country, and that s because we ve got high pressure with us for another day. however, this frontal system is going to start to push in late on thursday. a beautiful start, lots of blue sky, lots of sunshine coming through. little bit of cloud and mist and murk down to the south west may linger first thing, a little more cloud into northern ireland and southern scotland as we go through the day. but on the whole, with light winds and a warm, muggy start, those temper
To be the hottest day of the week as we see those temperatures widely into the mid 205, possibly as high as 27 degrees. that s 80 fahrenheit. but it s not expected to last, as somewhat cooler and showery conditions are set to return from friday and into the weekend. that s it. take care.
And that is set to bring some drier, sunnier and warmer weather. and for some of us, temperatures late in the week could reach at least the mid 205, maybe the high 205.
There will be showers and thunderstorms around but they probably won t be quite as potent and that is because the air is gradually turning pressure from the west. it is moving his way northwards and eat their words. this is the cold front from earlier which will eventually bring that big drop in temperature but, through the west of the afternoon into the evening, across england and scotland, you will see showers and thunderstorms. mid 205 will see showers and thunderstorms. mid 20s around the moray firth and high 20s across east anglia as we start the evening. indeed tonight, showers and thunderstorms. those are pretty northwards. later across the channel islands and the far south east we could see some storms return. in between those two may spaces become dry. a bit misty and still warmer. not as humid as the nightjust gone. i ll be going to sunday, south east england, could be heavy or thundery rain around. a wet start. elsewhere, a dry sunny spells
