State employees get eight extra hours of sick leave for COVID-19 vaccination

Correction: A previous version of this story indicated that the changes apply to all state workers. They in fact apply specifically to non-union workers. The state also reached agreements with several unions to offer the same benefit.
As the state continues to push toward its goal of vaccinating 70% of Michiganders over 16, the government making way for its own workers to take the time to get it done.
