A 32-year-old police detective has been arrested after criminal justice computer databases were accessed for an inmate already in jail, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff s Office.
Bionca D. Williams, a seven-year veteran of the department, was charged Wednesday with accessing information on police computers without authority, Undersheriff Pat Ivey said. Her bail was set at $20,000.
As the investigation into Williams continues, she becomes the fifth police officer sent to jail so far this year versus 11 in 2020, Ivey said. She was doing it for the purposes of discussing active investigations with an inmate within our jail system, Ivey said. . She has chosen not to resign, so we have a process in place and we will make no bones about it; we will move to terminate this employee.
Despite the efforts of the first responders, O Connell was pronounced dead around 11:48 that night.
Quickly ruled a suicide by authorities, family and friends have insisted O Connell, a young mother who had just accepted a new job, would not end her own life. In addition, questionable policework at the crime scene and during the subsequent investigation provided further proof to skeptics that something else was at play, and that Banks may have played more of a role in the incident than he led authorities to believe. Citizen P.I., A new series by Discovery+ that begins streaming Tuesday, takes another look at the O Connell case. It follows Leiva and Taylor, who make it their mission to uncover the truth about her death, as well as Wastock s, including whether they may have been connected.

The family of a man killed in World Golf Village is still hoping for answers more than two years after his death.
Eli Washtock, 38, was found shot to death Jan. 31, 2019, in a third-floor condo at Laterra Condominiums inside the gated community. Authorities said Washtock was independently looking into the high-profile Michelle O’Connell case.
“My mother is taking this extremely hard, and she’s trying so hard to be strong. She needs to know what happened,” said Jessica Tiffany, Washtock’s sister. “I’m hoping that we can find whoever did this because this crime, it was very heinous. It was very up close and personal.”
