Eliza Robertson didn't know how she was going to keep working as a special education teacher for Lakes Country Service Cooperative in Fergus Falls when the state shut down. With five kids and little time to herself, her requirement to work from home is more challenging than most. Just days before her online classes began, one Alexandria couple gave her a helping hand.
Habitat for Humanity of Douglas County plans to serve five new homeowners and 25 Aging in Place families in the next year, its most ambitious goal to date.

Habitat for Humanity welcomes new board directors
Habitat for Humanity of Douglas County recently chose two new board directors: Angie Krebs and Kevin Taylor.
Krebs is a nurse with Horizon Public Health and has served on Habitat’s Homeowner Selection Committee since 2013. Taylor is a youth pastor for Reach Church in Alexandria.
Other board directors include Brooke Zabel, Jon Ballou, Tony Loosbrock, Sandy Susag, Bill Flaig, Michelle Bethke-Kaliher, Jason Briscoe, Stephanie Lucy, Carmon Watkins and Scott Kluver. Habitat’s Board of Directors is the governing body that sets strategic directions and policies for the organization.
