Bad News: Sling TV Will Cost More for New Customers
The service, owned by Dish Network, added that prices will not increase on existing customers, citing the guarantee.
Last summer, Sling TV, in reaction to YouTube TV announcing a 30 percent price hike and Fubo TV also raising prices, made a promise to its customers: Unlike its vMVPD rival, Sling TV would not raise prices for a year.
Issued last July 1, Sling TV’s One Year Price Guarantee to any new and existing customers, was that the company “will automatically guarantee their current price on any SLING TV service through August 1, 2021.”

TV channel prices climbed too. If you re a new Orange or Blue customer, Sports Extra will increase to $11 per month. Those who ve already subscribed to the bundle will continue to pay $15 per month. Sling s Extra packages like comedy, kids and news now cost $6 per month an increase of $1. The company s Total TV Deal now costs $21 for new customers ($1 extra), and subscribers who bundle will pay $27 per month ($2 extra).

Dish Network’s Sling TV is the latest virtual pay-TV provider to raise rates: The over-the-top service’s Sling Orange and Sling Blue base services are each increasing by $5 per month, to $35/month a 17% increase and Sling announced rate hikes for add-on packages.
Sling said prices for existing customers will not change until July 2021, if their existing subscriptions remain active. New customers can also subscribe to both Sling Orange and Sling Blue for $50 per month (which also is increasing $5 per month). The main differences between the two packages is that Sling Blue includes Fox and NBC networks, while Sling Orange includes Disney and ESPN channels.

The other part of good news here is that Sling TV is giving you more cloud DVR storage space for free. Sling TV is upping the included cloud DVR storage from 10 hours to 50 hours.
