Jun. 5—HOWE — Police believe a truck driver was using a phone leading up to a crash that claimed his life and injured his son near Howe. Michael Lohman, 53, of Glendale, Arizona, died late Friday night at a hospital in Fort Wayne, the Indiana State Police said in a news release Saturday. A critically-injured Arizona man involved in a crash on the Indiana Toll Road has died. Indiana State Police say the man was airlifted to the hospital after a crash last night on the Toll Road in LaGrange County. Police have identified him as 53-year-old Michael Lohman of Glendale, Arizona. Lohman's 12-year-old son was also involved in the crash. He was released from the hospital last night and transported to Fort Wayne and has been reunited.
