Veteran Margaret River surfer Tony Hardyâs mental illness and how it affected him on the day he murdered his landlord David Graves in 2018 has taken centre stage during his sentencing in the WA Supreme Court.
Hardy pleaded guilty to the murder and was due to be sentenced on Thursday but inconclusive evidence from differing psychiatric assessments over his mental state led Justice Stephen Hall to postpone the matter.
