Spirits Canada president Jan Westcott said Ontario distillers are very proud that 100 percent of their grains are Ontario-grown.
After an Eastern Canadian Farm Writers Association Zoom social recently, mixologist Michael Barrington and Westcott shared cocktail recipes which showcase Ontario brewed and grown grains.

Westcott headed up the Brewer’s Association, the Canadian Wine Institute and the Wine Council of Ontario before spending the last 20 years at Sprits Canada.
Spirits Canada has been lobbying provincial politicians over the past months to permit Ontario spirits to be carried on grocery store shelves along with Ontario and foreign-brewed beers and wines.
