Chittorgarh: 20.30 hrs (20.35)
This scheme was drawn by keeping in mind the stops required on the way. Three years ago, in a November, I had driven to Ujjain from Lucknow, via Baran and Jhalawar. I had left Lucknow at 5.30 am and took diversion from Baran to Jhalawar at 1.50 pm, covering a distance of 558 kms. That was a day of performance. It was another story that I took another full seven hours to cover the next 280 kms to Ujjain from there on that day. Here, I was sure that such targets would be unrealistic considering that it was January and that there was no need to chase one’s own records. We should drive relaxed even if we drive fast and should not be under any compulsions. I was not under any compulsion in the Ujjain drive too. It so happened, that was the story.
