A Stafford Township Police officer made an unusual discovery while out on patrol Saturday night. A car had crashed into a home on Mermaid Drive in Manahawkin. The car was unoccupied.

STAFFORD, NJ A Pennsylvania man was driving with a suspended license in a crash that disrupted Tuesday evening traffic in Stafford, police said.
Stafford police said the crash happened on Route 72 at Mermaid Drive at 4 p.m.
David DeCant, 49, of Barrington was driving east in a commercial roll-off container truck on Route 72 and slowed down to make a left turn onto Mermaid Drive, police said. A Jeep Compass operated by Justin Dowling, 37, of Bensalem, Pennsylvania was also traveling east on Route 72 and crashed into the back of DeCant s truck.
