The story of
Kirsikka Saari and
Jenni Toivoniemi, follows Sihja (
Elina Patrakka), a young, charming and slightly outrageous fairy, who leaves her forest home. In the city, she meets a sensitive new 11-year-old friend, Alfred (
Justus Hentula). Sihja loves the newfound organised urban shapes and the orderly habits that humans have. The pair bond quickly and have a lot of fun, until one day dead birds start to appear on the city streets. The smelly fertiliser factory could be the culprit, but when Sihja reveals her unbridled fairy powers, people begin to be wary of her. Alfred and Sihja must find out what is threatening Mother Nature. Thanks to a clever and brave investigation, they manage to prevent an environmental disaster. And thanks to Alfred, Sihja learns how to use her superpower and to apologise, while Alfred finds the confidence to stand up for himself. Other main cast members include

Emily Atef Readies Shoot of More Than Ever With Vicky Krieps, Gaspard Ulliel (EXCLUSIVE)

Emily Atef, whose latest film “3 Days in Quiberon” competed at the Berlinale in 2018, is getting ready to shoot “More Than Ever,” a melodrama headlined by Vicky Krieps (“Phantom Thread”) and Gaspard Ulliel (“It’s Only the End of the World”). Jesper Christensen (“Before the Frost”) and Liv Ullmann will also star.
The Match Factory is representing the project in international markets.

“More Than Ever” (formerly known as “Mister”) was penned by Atef and German scribe Lars Hubrich, whose screenwriting credits include Fatih Akin’s 2016 film “Goodbye Berlin.” The movie is produced by Xénia Maingot at Eaux Vives Productions, and co-produced by Nicole Gerhards at Niko Film, Jani Thiltges at Samsa Film and Maria Ekerhovd at Mer Film.

“Sweat,” which is screening at the Rotterdam Film Festival and the Göteborg Film Festival this week, has attracted additional sales, New Europe Film Sales has reported. The film, which was selected by Cannes last year, had been previously been sold widely.
Magnus Von Horn’s “poised, impressive drama,” as it was called in its review in
Variety, has been acquired by One from the Heart in Greece; First Hand Films in Switzerland; Capella Film for Russia and CIS; and Blue Swan Entertainment for Italy, San Marino and Vatican.
