Melton Phoenix Football Club players will soon have modern female friendly facilities with work starting on a new pavilion at MacPherson Park, thanks to funding from the Andrews Labor Government.
Minister for Community Sport Ros Spence today joined Member for Macedon Mary-Anne Thomas as construction of the new pavilion officially commenced.

MacPherson Park is the regional sporting hub in the City of Melton, and Melton Phoenix has been an integral part of the local sporting community for more than 50 years.

Ballarat Line Upgrade delivers more services to Victoria’s second busiest regional line
The Ballarat Line Upgrade is complete, with communities along the line now set to enjoy more frequent services.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development Michael McCormack and Victorian Minister for Transport Infrastructure Jacinta Allan today welcomed the completion of more than 1.6 million hours of work on the project, allowing the introduction of 125 new weekly services to the Ballarat Line.
The $601.2 million project was jointly funded by the Australian Government, which contributed $503 million and the Victorian Government, which contributed $98.2 million.
“The now-completed Ballarat Line Upgrade will deliver much-needed additional services and it is exciting for local communities,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
