2020 was difficult for Vietnam and the world as COVID-19 raged on throughout the year. Academic Olympiads were also significantly affected, and were held online in order to continue, challenging both professors and contestants.
Still, the difficulties didn’t stop these Vietnamese students claiming 9 gold medals, 8 silvers, 5 bronzes, and 2 certificates of achievement in Maths, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. They all brought glory to their country.
In order to uphold Vietnam’s academic results in the world arena, the Prime Minister asked the education sector to continue its reform efforts so that Vietnamese people will be equipped with the skills, knowledge, and creativity to unleash their full potential for personal and national growth./.

The fear of natural disasters has caused more than 1.3 million people living in the Mekong Delta to migrate to HCMC and elsewhere.
The figure was published on Monday in the first annual Mekong Delta Economic Report coordinated by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and managed by Fulbright University Vietnam.
The number is alarming considering the number of emigrants in the past decade was larger than the population of some provinces in the delta.
