Monday’s Farber Board of Aldermen meeting marked a changing of the guard as long-time city clerk/collector Marie Bounds officially retires.
But Bounds leaves the city she’s served for 50 years in good hands, with Megan Roth.
A 2001 graduate of Van-Far High School, Roth started working for Farber City Hall Jan. 4. Since then, she s been working closely with outgoing city clerk/collector Bounds and learning the ins-and-outs of city business.
“I love working with Marie and have learned a lot in a small amount of time,” Roth says. “She takes care of so much more than I believe most people realize. She is a sweet, sweet lady and very dedicated to the city of Farber. She has been a very good teacher and very patient in showing me all she does.”
