Constant power disruptions and the spiralling cost of electricity have pushed Mediclinic to start generating its own electricity.
The hospital group made the announcement just as President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that government is increasing the limit on self-generation of power from one megawatt (MW) to 100MW and that new âpower stationsâ will soon be able to sell excess electricity to the national grid.
