JV partner Carnarvon Energy has provided an update on the Santos-operated Apus-1 well in the WA-437-P exploration permit, around 27 kms southwest of the successful Pavo-1 well. Excellent quality reservoirs were encountered and, while hydrocarbons were observed in the well, a commercial hydrocarbon pool has not been discovered.
Empyrean Energy has provided an update on drilling at the Jade prospect at its 100% owned Block 29/11 permit, offshore China. The well has encountered methane (C1) in the interpreted Gas Cloud zone.
