On Thursday night, the United Kingdom will become a fully sovereign country once again. We will do so with a massive, complex deal, painstakingly negotiated for almost a year.
But, some critics have asked, does it truly represent a genuine Brexit?
To answer this fundamental question, especially before we vote on it, the European Research Group (ERG) reassembled its Star Chamber of eminent lawyers, chaired by the indefatigable Sir Bill Cash MP, to analyse the voluminous text in minute detail against one acid test – does this agreement really guarantee our sovereignty as an independent state?
