McDONOUGH COUNTY During Friday’s meeting, the McDonough County Public Transportation interim transit director Pete Hannen told the MCPT committee that ridership during November and December continued to go down for both Go West and Demand Response.
For November 2020, Hannen said MCPT had a total ridership of 17,285 with 15,847 riders on Go West and 1,438 riders on Demand Response. In comparison to the November 2019 ridership numbers of 54,321 total riders, total ridership went down nearly 32 percent. In addition, Go West ridership went down 30 percent from 52,513 riders and Demand Response ridership went down nearly 80 percent from 1,808 riders in November 2019.
