One week after a fire forced saint john the Evangelist Church to shut the doors of its sanctuary, its nonprofit partner is working to make sure people dont get cut off of Services Like its daytime shelter. What were hoping to do is to be able to raise money for the church, to be able to bring it back to its original glory, and also to be able to do it quickly. Lydia branston is the executive director of the gubbio project and she says quickly is the key. So that were not in a position where were having to wait a long time to do the construction mission, or that the construction takes a really long time, so it disrupts services. Douglas high school this afternoon. Students say they heard multiple gunshots. They rushed to hide in classrooms and they tried to reach their parents through their cell phones but some of them were scared to talk out of fear that their voices would attract the shooter. One student says he heard the gunman pull that fire alarm and yell for everyone to come out of the rooms in an attempt to fill the halls with people. When that school went on lockdown, s. W. A. T. Team rushed in. Students flooded out consoling each other on the street. It was multiple gunshots, five at a time, fully automatic, very frightening. We thought it was a drill. But apparently it was a active shooter. The hallway saw big pile of blood smeared like as if they were dragged away and i saw two girls probably dead in the hallway. A good thing the door is locked. The shooter shot through the door. I was behind the cabinet and the bullet passed my ear, got a girl next to me. We couldnt help anybody. 911 wasnt working
Santa Rosa Junior College football coach lenny wagner cant believe sipply and another of his students could be involved in a homicide. Ronnie and his roommate are charged in the shooting of a suspected prostitute. Minutes after the shooting Police Stopped both men in a car near a Fast Food Restaurant and let them go. Until pictures surfaced, showing the suspected shooter ne crime scene. Shortly after they see a subject running away from the hotel and get into the same vehicle. Investigators tracked down both men and arrested them. The coach never thought either would be involved. Hes a good students, does well in his classes and hes eye very enjoyable kid to coach. His own father was executed in 2013 by the state of texas for murder. I had talks with him in the past when he was dealing with his fathers execution, and referred him at one time to Student Health services.
