NEXT STAGE SET FOR OAKLAND AVENUE EXPANSION PROJECT By Hometown1

A traffic pattern change takes effect tomorrow on Oakland Avenue in White Township and will last through Friday, setting up the next stage of the $19.83 million Route 286/422 Widening and Resurfacing Project. After the change this week, a single-lane closure will be in effect from Rustic Lodge Road to the Route 422 interchange through the rest of the summer.
In addition to widening the heavily-traveled road, the project also includes the replacement of the bridge over McCarthy Run Creek and the installation of sidewalks along Oakland Avenue, along with traffic signal replacements, drainage and guide rail upgrades.
