Some Businesses in the Basin Will Still Keep Their Own Mask Mandate The statewide mask mandate was lifted on Wednesday, but some businesses in the area will still require masks. According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, one of those places will be the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center who released a statement after the governor announced the mask mandate being lifted that said they will continue to enforce mask wearing at all of their performances for the near future. “We are all very excited about getting back to a pre-COVID normal, however, that will all come in time,” said General Manager Stephanie Rivas.

Valet Parking Approved in Downtown Midland Parking in downtown Midland is getting easier now that city council has approved valet parking. According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, Midland City Council approved leasing out parking spaces on Colorado Street in downtown to be used as valet parking for the businesses in that area. The parking spaces will be used as a drop off and pick up area and vehicles will be parked in two privately owned parking lots. Midland Tower owner, Wes Perry, requested leasing the spaces for valet service for the businesses located in his building which includes Opal s Table, Second Story Coworking, and Cancun Grill.
