Secaucus mayor Michael Gonnelli said most migrants on the buses continued onto New York which helped alleviate his concerns about their impact on the town's resources which he expressed during a a call with county and state law enforcement.
Migrant-laden buses have been dropped at train terminals in New Jersey to bypass the executive order issued by New York City Mayor Eric Adams, which imposes restrictions on bus arrivals from Texas.
