DANBURY, CT Gov. Ned Lamont has named Mayor Mark Boughton as commissioner of the Department of Revenue Services.
If the legislature signs off, Boughton s term as mayor would come to an end. City Council President Joe Cavo would take the reins of city government once Boughton vacated the seat, and until the City Council elected a new mayor, according to city bylaws.
