Cornwall Ontario – CMP Advanced Mechanical Solutions will be establishing a new mechanical assembly operation in Cornwall.
The widely respected Canadian manufacturer has leased 40,000 sq.ft. at 1020 Montreal Road and will be looking to hire 25 workers at the new facility.
“As we grow our business, the need for additional capacity for light assembly work has emerged,” says Alexandra Keenan, Talent Acquisition and Recruitment Strategy Advisor with CMP. “We have immediate openings for mechanical assemblers, drivers, quality inspector and shipping/receiving clerks who can drive a forklift.”
In an effort to service its customers at the highest possible levels, CMP opened a 90,000 sq.ft. warehouse and logistics center in the Cornwall Business Park last year. The warehouse is strategically located on Boundary Road, and was chosen in part due to its close proximity to both the US border and to Eastern Canada’s main highway the 401.

At least hundreds of attendees lined the Mary St footpaths as schools, bands, veterans and their family members marched under a near-spotless blue sky in time with tunes such as
Waltzing Matilda.
The crowd then made its way to Memorial Park to hear a stirring address from keynote speaker, former RAAF wing commander Mark Patterson, book-ended by speeches from MC Martin Muller and Mayor Glen Hartwig.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The fallout continues against ERCOT in the wake of last week’s winter storms.
On Tuesday, four board members including Chair Sally Talberg and Vice Chair Peter Cramton, resigned from their positions.
Meanwhile, Lubbock is still on schedule to join the power grid system this summer.
“It’s concerning to me as a citizen and a leader, it’s top of mind,” Mayor Dan Pope said.
In the last week, he has met with the city council, LP&L and state leaders to discuss the city’s future with the Electric Reliability Council of Texas [ERCOT].
