(Kristin Borden/Patch) STAMFORD, CT While votes are still being counted Tuesday evening, Democratic candidate Corey Paris has claimed victory in the race for the 145th House District. On his campaign s Facebook page, Paris wrote around 8:30 p.m. that Corey Paris is the next state representative for the 145th District. Thank you, Stamford, for your trust, confidence and vote. Subscribe The Stamford Advocate reports Paris got 730 votes and Republican candidate Juan David Ospina garnered 225, according to unofficial results from Stamford Democratic City Committee headquarters, and Ospina said Tuesday evening that he conceded the race.
