RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - The new Rockvale Public Health & Safety Building will have its Grand Opening this Sunday, August 27, beginning at 2:00 with opening ceremonies. After a short program with music from one of ROCKVALE High School's bands, presentations of colors by the Rutherford County EMS color guard and a few remarks by the mayor, there will be a raising of the Rutherford County Flag.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TENN. - Rutherford County Mayor Joe Carr is proposing an increase to the property tax that adds up to more than 15%. The proposal is gaining momentum after the idea of an impact fee for Rutherford County failed in the Tennessee General Assembly.
