Though many have been out using it already, residents can see the official ribbon cutting of the Peru Riverwalk extension next month, complete with the stepping off of a fundraiser walk to get people out moving on the trail.
That will take the form of a âtwo-mile family fun walk sponsored by the Peru/Grissom Kiwanis,â said Brooke Robertson with the Miami County Economic Development Authority and president of the local Kiwanis Club.
Itâs all scheduled for May 15 at what Robertson called âthe new roundaboutâ on the walkway extension just west of the Riverview Event Center on Canal Street. The ribbon cutting is scheduled for 9 a.m.
