Charity chop!
By Geraldine Fitzgerald
Four Carrigaline girls are donating their locks of hair to the Little Princess Trust, which makes real hair wigs for children and teenagers who have lost their hair as a result of cancer treatment.
The girls, cousins Áine May Allan, Orla Noonan, Niamh Cogan and their aunt Siobhán O’Brien, have an appointment with Chocolate Hair and Beauty Group this Friday June 11th to chop off almost four feet of their hair.
The family was inspired to donate their hair when their little cousin, Callum Mc Carthy, was diagnosed with leukaemia at the age of four. Three years on, Callum is thankfully nearing the end of his treatment and he and his family are incredibly grateful for charities that have helped them through their cancer journey.
