fuels are even dryer than where they are in the bay area. this all seems a little early in the season for this, keep in mind we ve had mostly dry winters since january 1. the fire fuels are at about normal dryness thanks to rainfall around the bay area, but significantly above the dryness levels, what s typical throughout the central valley. and it s not a situation likely to improve. just got a new three-month outlook from the climate prediction center for june, july and august. and a significant chance of above average temperatures not just in california, but most of the western u.s. we ve already seen significant wildfires in new mexico and texas, and above average temperatures are becoming the new normal thanks to the influence of climate change. we will take a look at the short-term forecast, what s going happen with the wind speeds through tonight and tomorrow, coming up in just a few minutes. well, a new study shows fires are getting harder to fight at night because
