Family of woman found dead at ex-boyfriend’s home says police dropped the ball Jacque Masse
The family of a Hughes woman found dead, wrapped up in a blanket said the Hughes Police Department dropped the ball.
The family and St. Francis County Sheriff Bobby May told FOX13 a Hughes police officer performed a welfare check inside the suspect’s home with the victim’s decomposing body inside.

“The odor of the decomposing body had to be obvious,” said May.
May said the Hughes police officer was with the suspect, Maurice Winda, when he searched his home for the victim early Monday morning.

Authorities found the body of Robin Elizabeth Allmon, 42, wrapped in a sheet
Her ex-boyfriend, Maurice Winda, 44, is considered a person of interest in the death
Allmon was reported missing six days before her corpse was found
The body was decomposed, and she is believed to have been dead for some time
Police and family said there had been a history of violence between Allmon and Winda
Winda reportedly did not show up for work the day after the body was discovered

HUGHES, Ark. (WMC) - St. Francis County investigators are searching for a man who is a person of interest in the death of a woman in Hughes.
Crime scene tape surrounded the house where Maurice Winda lived with 42-year-old Robin Elizabeth Allman.
Leon Collins lives just a few houses down from the house where Allman’s body was discovered wrapped in a sheet under a mattress. . Police say Allman’s family reported her missing a week ago.
