Well, the ntsb investigators will show up here starting tomorrow morning, peggy. I can tell you that this tight knit community of pilots is now mourning the loss of a dear friend. The plane took off around noon yesterday from frazier lake air park southeast of gilroy. Investigators say it crashed just a few miles away, off canada road. Both passengers were killed. The Santa Clara County Sheriffs Department confirms one victim is a woman from san jose, the other a man from gilroy. I know them, yeah. Its kind of hard. I mean especially when you have a passenger and you have the responsibility. Reporter the plane that crash is a 1950 cessna 140a, similar to the plane you see here. Lowland western gorilla named kabibe unexpectedly dashed under a hydraulic door that was closing at the time. They say this is particularly tough for the primate staff who provided roundtheclock care until she was six months old. She was born july of last year and the public actually helped name her. Kabibe means little lady in swoo hooeli. She brought great joy not just to the gorilla troupe but to the public and her keepers. Today visitors leaving the zoo were satened by the news.
