More than 500 quakes were felt in the Reykjanes Peninsula yesterday, and despite them being slightly weaker than in previous days the Fagradalsfjall volcano is still expected to erupt.
Residents were allowed to return to Grindavik for a few minutes on Monday in order to collect their belongings. Roads in the town have started to crack as the likelihood of a volcanic eruption remains high.
