LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – At the end of a special closed session meeting on Tuesday evening, the Lakeport Unified School District Board of Trustees announced that it has selected a new superintendent.
Minnesotan Matt Bullard, an educator with more than two decades of experience in public schooling, will assume the superintendent’s post on July 1.
A medical emergency led to a delay in getting students on the bus after school Wednesday.

PAYNESVILLE A medical emergency brought emergency vehicles to Paynesville Secondary School Wednesday afternoon.
As a result, buses loaded students 5 to 10 minutes later than usual, according to Superintendent Matt Bullard.
Bullard said privacy concerns prevented him from sharing specific information, but all involved received the medical treatment needed.
