Parents of babies who died as a result of poor NHS care are calling for a full statutory public inquiry into maternity safety in England.
The Maternity Safety Alliance, a group of bereaved parents and maternity safety campaigners, has written to the health and social care secretary, Steve Barclay, to argue that without fundamental reform the same problems are bound to be repeated time and time again with catastrophic human and financial consequences.1
