"The American Reality" by Shaka Bello Motivates the African Diaspora

Share: March 11, 2021 – The recently published book, “The American Reality: Being a Black Alien in the White Man’s World” by African immigrant, public speaker, and development consultant Shaka Bello is an eye-opening narration of his personal experiences and reflections of finding success on the American soil as a social entrepreneur. “ ’The American Reality’ is a result of my desire to shine my light during this difficult time, and use my story to inspire others to be a better version of themselves regardless of the challenges they face,” says Shaka Bello. Shaka has poured out his heart and soul into this book, sharing all of his personal experiences during his journey from Ghana to the US. The book contains all of his reflections over the last 10 years of his stay in the country. For many public tertiary education institutions in Africa, including nonpublic institutions, private grants, and contracts as well as endowments and research grants remain highly limited.
