Wareham High’s Grace Brogioli shines in statewide competition

WAREHAM – Soft-spoken Wareham High senior Grace Brogioli said she was “shocked” to learn she had won the Massachusetts Secondary Schools Athletic Directors Association 2021 Scholar Athlete Essay Award.
She is one of only two winners statewide, and is now eligible for the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association Scholar/Essay Competition.
“I was shocked when I got the email saying I won it because it’s a statewide award-scholarship. So I was really surprised - but I was glad,” she said.
But it was no surprise to anyone familiar with Brogioli.
