The government of Odisha has taken the decision to reopen the schools for students of classes 9 and 11 from February 8. The schools will reopen for these students from next week with several Covid-19 safety guidelines set into place.

Odisha government has decided to reopen schools in the state from February 8 onwards. The schools will reopen for classes 9 and 11 amid strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines. School and Mass Education Department have released an official notice regarding the same mentioning the do and don’ts in school premises.
As per the notice, regular classroom teaching for students of Classes 9 and 11 will be held between 8:30 am and 10:30 am six days a week from February 8 to April 30. Each day three periods would be held in for those two hours.

schools for the students of classes 9 and 11 from February 8 amid strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines. A notification issued by the school and mass education department said that regular classroom teaching for students of standards 9 and 11 will be held between 8.30 am and 10.30 am six days a week from February 8 to April 30.
Three periods will be held in those two hours, the notification said.
The government had reopened schools for students of classes 10 and 12 on January 8 after nine months of closure due to COVID-19 pandemic.

To help the students of Class 10 preparing for the annual state board examination in May this year, Odisha government will provide an exam guide book free of cost to all.
This was announced by School and Mass Education Minister S R Dash on Thursday. The state government will distribute free of cost Pariksha Darpan (exam guide) book to all the 6,20,508 students who will appear in the annual matriculation (Class 10) examination, the minister said.
Though the state government had earlier reduced 30 per cent of the syllabus for the Class 10 board examination, it is felt that students still face difficulties for the examination. 'Pariksha Darpan', is a 700-page guide book.
