Some Capitol rioters identified as misinformation spawns new conspiracy theories
As the investigation into the Capitol Hill riot intensifies, officials are working to identify the individuals behind it.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation launched a website to collect tips and digital media relating to the riots. The agency has received over 4,000 tips on its website.
Misinformation about who was behind the violence has spawned new conspiracy theories, in an attempt to shift blame. Those theories have reached several President Trump supporters who attended Wednesday s rally.
Shortly after President Trump encouraged supporters to march to the Capitol, some decided to march a little farther and cause destruction to the federal building.

I have been beating the drum to invoke the 14th Amendment’s disqualification clause against the Sedition Party, in particular Arizona’s four GOP members of Congress who participated in sedition and gave oxygen to the QAnon/Trump cult violent mob that stormed the Capitol building in armed insurrection against the lawful government of the United States:

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States,
George Floyd s accused killer, Derek Chauvin, is on trial and I can t turn away.
Since the video showing the kneeling on the neck of a 46-year-old unarmed Black father, who then died, by a police officer with a history of fatal force went viral, so did their names, sparking one of the biggest social justice movements in global history. So yes, Derek Chauvin s trial, which is set to conclude early next week, will be televised.
TV both creates and feeds our obsession with viral murder trials. We can t fault the networks for it, because so many of us refuse to turn away, just as we will stop and watch wild fights that break out in supermarkets, slow down on the beltway to gaze at flipped-over cars, and stand outside of burning buildings that have nothing to do with us. We are hooked on other people s trauma. We are thirsty for it and can t wait to drink as much as possible.

WASHINGTON - One sure sign that the violence that wracked the Capitol on Wednesday was broadly unacceptable to President Donald Trump s usual allies was how quickly some blamed people other than the president and his base of supporters.
From the House floor, Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., a Trump ally, cited pretty compelling evidence from a facial recognition company that he claimed showed that some of the people who breached the Capitol today were not Trump supporters. Instead, they were masquerading as Trump supporters and, in fact, were members of the violent terrorist group antifa.
